Recycling at the lake
Together Nebraska Game and Parks, Keep Keith County Beautiful provide recycling around the lake.
Recycle McConaughy places 10 full size recycling containers at 5 locations around Lake McConaughy. The containers are put in place May through September, with two containers at each location. We accept aluminum, plastic, and paper/paperboard/cardboard in the other.
The presence of recycling at the lake is important to our community, our lake and our environmental sustainability and the state of Nebraska’s second largest tourist attraction. Economic indicators show that lake visits are up, and will continue to grow. Our mission is to provide a clean green beautiful place to live and vacation. It is also to educate and reduce. This program provides us the opportunity to reach locals, year round recycling available.
